Eco-Textile Godfather

The current chairman, Mr. Mark, said “I grew up in a textile factory and I am aware of the fabrics, yarns, and production process and after my father retires, I will take over his business.” In 1993, Mark accidentally heard a speech from Cheng Yen, founder of the Tzu Chi foundation, saying “Use your applauding hands to do recycling”. This made Mark think about how to use his own textile background and devote his work to environmental protection.

The Kinmen Winery consumes 50,000 metric tons of sorghum each year, adding the weight of water and producing 100,000 tons of sorghum distiller’s grains. The highest day can produce more than 250 metric tons of distiller’s grains per day. Some distiller’s grains will become animal husbandry feed, but the remaining distiller’s grains will become waste and add to bring the burden of the environment.
